St. Aidan's Children's Liturgy

Good News -

We are delighted to announce that the St. Aidan's Children's Liturgy is back open.

We will aim to run this each Sunday, but this depends on the availability of volunteer leaders.

We will try to publicise each session that we are having here; so please check this page each week.

Thanks.

Sunday 9th October - we intend to run the session.

Welcoming Children into our Parish

Our children’s liturgy group runs during Sunday mornings (9.15am) Mass and continues to go from strength to strength.

Attended by regulars, those who come along when they can and visitors all enjoy this vibrant, fun and spiritual session run by members of our Parish.

The Liturgy of the Word is adapted and made relevant to the lives and experiences of young children.  This gives them the opportunity to understand the Gospel message and participate in the Eucharistic celebration at their own level.

All young children are welcome to attend our liturgy.  They should be present at the beginning of Mass in church and then the Priest will invite them to leave for their own celebration.  We hold their celebration in the church hall and include various readings, prayers, singing and activities.  The children rejoin the congregation after the prayers of the faithful and take their work up to the altar during the offertory procession.

If you would like more information about St. Aidan's Children's Liturgy please use the Contact Form (click here) or come along to next Sunday's Mass.

All adults involved in running our Liturgy group have been CRB checked.  Anyone who would like to help run the Liturgy group should see one of our priests.
