Forward Together In Hope

The Forward Together In Hope Planning Group have made their initial response to the Diocesan Draft Questionnaire on behalf of the our Parish.

We have posted these initial responses on our 'Documents and Bulletins' page under 'Parish and Diocesan Event / Info.' section.

This is to allow everyone to review these and play an active part in the next phase of this critically important process that will help shape our Parish over the coming years.

We have also uploaded the 'Reflective Questions' associated with this process.

We NEED you and your ideas!
Who should we support?

If you click onto our Justice and Peace page you will see that the parish Justice and Peace Group was able to made over £1900 worth of donations in 2015.  But we are always busy trying to do more.  And we can ONLY managed this and can continue with YOUR help.

Please get involved:

  • Our spring Plant and Home Bake Sale is coming up so..
    • Plant something and bring along
    • Bake a cake
    • Donate items for the tombola
    • Spend money at sale
  • Suggest suitable Justice and Peace good causes (there are criteria but please see one of the team)
  • Support our regular FairTrade Stalls (Sunday morning mass)
  • Come along to the Justice and Peace meetings
  • Volunteer to help at an event.

Thanks again to each and everyone who have helped out so far.  Please keep up the good work so that we can continue to assist those most in need.

A warm welcome to the Parishioners joining us from SS Peter and Paul's.

On Sunday 28th December 2014 Bishop Seamus celebrated the last Mass to be held in our sister parish of SS Peter and Paul.  It is always sad to see a church close but we welcome all parishioners as the parish becomes part of St. Aidan's.

We have already seen a good number of parishioners join us at St. Aidan's and hope that they feel welcomed and part of our community.

The Parish of St. Aidan's will be strengthened and enriched by each and every person joining us.

What can YOU do to help YOUR Parish?

There are hundreds of activities going on behind the scenes to run a parish like St. Aidan's and we could really use your skills and help.

We would love to involve more people in the life of our parish community here at St Aidan's.

Would you be willing to help?  This can be as often or as infrequently as you like.
